Utah P.T Association Names Kim Cohee "2012 Physical Therapist of the Year"

Every year the Utah Physical Therapy Association gives honors one individual who stands out as “Physical Therapist of the Year.” Decided by their peers within the field this award is given to a “Physical Therapist who has made outstanding contributions to the profession of physical therapy. This can include, but is not limited to, those who deliver excellent care, develop excellent relationships with other professionals, perform research and are great mentors, or practice with exceptional results.”

We are delighted to announce that this year, Kim Cohee, our very own Manager of Physical Therapy and Hand Therapy at the University Orthopaedic Center was the recipient!

Susan Doucette, President of the Utah Physical Therapy Association said, at this year’s UPTA Fall conference, “I am honored to present the PT of the year award to Kim Cohee.  Kim has made outstanding contributions to the profession of physical therapy in her leadership, mentorship, teaching, and service to the physical therapy community. Kim is a great individual from both a personal and professional perspective. Kim is smart, fair, non-judgmental, loyal, sincere, generous, and kind. Kim is a true advocate for the profession of physical therapy.”

Kim has been the manager of the University of Utah Orthopedic Center PT and Hand and Upper Extremity Clinics since 2004. She is highly valued by both faculty and staff. Additionally her co-workers agree she is a great clinic manager.
